Seattle Sunday Adventure (10/18/15) - SAM Intimate Impressions Exhibit

The Crumpet Shop

Chalkboard hippie van in Fremont

These were some of the pictures taken at the Seattle Art Museum and downtown at Pikes Place. I had crumpets at The Crumpet Shop for the first time and saw the Intimate Impressions exhibit. It was a very good Sunday spent in Seattle and another fun-filled adventure!

On another note, Zara and Uniqlo will be opening soon at Bellevue Square Mall on November 6th! I'm excited for the opening of the two stores and also to be able to release information to you all on an upcoming project of mine debuting around the same time. My design class starts next week and work should be picking up with more projects piling up one after the other, so I guess this week will be my last free and relaxing week for awhile before all the hectic chaos hits haha.

Anyways, stay tuned for exciting updates and events happening on Halloween and around the beginning of November. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying yourselves :).

Keep in touch!

Galvanize Summer Tech Party (the trending #SiliconValley phase)

These pictures were taken last night at Galvanize's new space in Seattle's Pioneer Square for their summer tech party. It was such an amazing spacious place with multiple levels and innovative snacks and food to munch on.  With an amazing view and a beautifully decorated interior, it was a perfect social networking night. One level was an event space with a dance floor and a live DJ. There was a photo booth for guests to take pictures and there was even a level solely dedicated as an art gallery!

I'm looking forward to going to more fun events in the future and to see the progress of start-ups in the Seattle area continue to grow. In the meantime, I hope you guys are still having a great weekend and I'll keep in touch. Talk to you guys soon!

Outtakes from my recent adventures

These are a couple of photos that I took from some of my recent adventures around the Pacific Northwest, and that were not posted on my IG! I know it's been awhile since I've posted on here. Sorry for the hiatus, I've been busy dealing with life and more soul searching as usual. Hopefully you guys have been keeping up to date on my activities through Instagram! If not, it's all good, I still miss you guys! I hope you all have been doing great, hanging in there, and that life has been treating you well with less hectic, chaos going on.

I just went to a concert last night held at Century Link field and it was amazing! I'm going to another awesome concert next week and I'll keep you guys posted on my activities via Instagram. Next week, I will fill you all in on what's been going on with my personal life and also talk in depth about my blog, SonderWonder!

Have a great rest of the week and an amazing weekend!

The SonderWonder Style & Fashion Side

#3!- Tomorrow is Friday! This week went by fairly fast. My cousin is in town and I'm gonna take him out and around Seattle today and basically for the rest of the weekend up until he leaves next week! This calls for a weekend packed with fun and adventures. I'm super stoked and I haven't seen him until last year. We're both finally 21 and I get to show him how the Seattle night life and bar scene is!

I'll keep you guys updated via Instagram on our foodie adventures and just explorations around Seattle, both touristy spots and other interesting places we end up at.

This post is the third and final post of the most recent and updated fashion pics and outfits I have done in the past couple of months. All were taken in the Pacific Northwest from the Eastside to Seattle. The last picture is a picture I shot as a shout out photo on my purchases from the Nordstrom's Magic Hour Pop Up shop, and also to work on my photo-editing and visual creative direction skills. I want to work more and enhance my techniques and skills in photo editing and hopefully those improvements will be evident in my future pictures and posts.

I recently went to the new pop up shop that Nordstrom is having, called Pool Side, and also shot a picture of my purchases from there! {To see the picture click on the Instagram link above when you hover over the word.}

I really enjoy taking pictures of random and what are deemed small things, such as food. But in the end something as simple as a great meal with great company, adds up. It is another precious memory to hold on to, either to get you  through the rest of a not so good week or just a minuscule reminder to try and enjoy and love your life, even if it seems as if everything is against you or going wrong. I personally just enjoy these moments and when I look at these pictures I remember that specific event and cherish even more what I do have and am extremely grateful for it.

Anyways enough with my ranting, I will have a feature post sometime soon by this weekend or next week of exciting new business growth mostly in the city that I reside in most- Downtown Bellevue, but I'll also include some news for Seattle! I want to share news about where I live and my home because I am so excited to see new things happening, including economic growth. To see your home change overtime and to be able to physically spectate the progression of  how advanced, modern, and new it is becoming is truly a site and a sort of proud feeling to have, especially having lived nowhere else.

Further along, I will include a post about who or what is Sonder Wonder? Why did I choose this name? Is there a meaning to the name or does it just sound catchy? These questions will be answered next week with a post on why I blog, what is behind the name, and what this is all about.

Keep in touch and see you all soon! If I don't get to post anything for the rest of this week, I hope you guys all have an awesome fun filled/relaxing weekend jammed with many adventures and excursions of your own. Ttyl.

Road Tripping Outfit Photos

LA

AZ- Arizona

LA

SF

SF

Post #2- These were the outfits I wore on my road trip! The weather was windier in San Fran and the warmest in Arizona. LA was decently warm and humid. The further inland and south I went on the coast, the warmer it got which meant less layers.

This week I'll post a couple of old pics of outfit pictures I took from awhile back that I haven't yet shared. Also, I will upload a post on new businesses that are opening up around the Seattle and Bellevue area from what I've heard or speculated. I'll explain more in detail about the sources in the post.

I hope you guys are having a great week! The weather is getting hotter and sunnier each day with less consecutive days of rain, yay!
Anyways, I'll catch you guys up soon and keep you guys posted! Meanwhile, stay in the loop through my IG! From my pic of the dam I visited on Sunday to what I ate for breakfast yesterday- and soon what I'm gonna eat for lunch today, you can see what I'm doing instantly while i'm on the go!

To give you guys a little tidbit of personal info, I'll definitely have a post about me showing my cousin around town since he will be visiting this week. Also, my grandma will be visiting my family and I from the motherland, overseas. But  by next week, I will have a mini city guide or tourist guide post from all the adventures I will have around the Puget Sound area with my cuz. Keep checking the blog for new posts and stories!

I'll see you guys soon.

The Bellevue Collection's #ISpyBellSq Instagram contest & just for funsies extra fashion outfit shoots

#ISpyBellSq

#ISpyBellSq

#ISpyBellSq

TGIF everyone!

Going off the list from yesterday's post on future fashion pics here is #1! Bellevue Square Mall of the Bellevue Collection, had a spring fling style contest for Instagram which I decided to enter in.
The contest basically wanted you to share your favorite clothes and items from your favorite stores in the mall, using your creative skills to photograph and showcase the items. Then you would share your pictures on Instagram and hashtag "ISpyBellSq" to submit and enter your photos. The contest was from March to April with them announcing the winners the first week of May.

I submitted a total of three photos to the contest {completely not in order: the 2nd, 3rd, & 5th photos, they're labeled} and then just took two extra ones just for fun {1st photo & 4th}, because I couldn't resist not sharing everything I got just for the halibut, I mean why not!? It was a joyful shopping spree!
The last pic is of what I bought with my gift card and the same picture I shared on Instagram giving a shout out of what I had purchased.

I'm so grateful for the opportunity and for have being chosen as one of the winners. Who knows? I might dabble more in future Instagram contests. I'm excited to work more on the fashion side of things but my blog will always be my personal lifestyle blog with no advertising or marketing gimmicks, I can promise you that!

Look forward to the remaining fashion posts listed from yesterday's post: #2 and #3. Also, next week I will have a post about exciting news on the business growth here in the Puget Sound- in Seattle and Bellevue. It'll highlight what big stores will be opening up here and many other new retail. Many exciting things to look forward to!

As always, if you wanna see what I'm doing now or this weekend's adventures and shenanigans, just check out my Instagram page! It's the fastest and most current way to see what I'm up to when I'm out and about & on the go!

Have a great weekend guys! Have fun and be safe. :)

Coming Home: Memorial Weekend

Man, it is good to be back!

The road trip was a remarkable and an unforgettable experience. I saw so many amazing sites, attractions, and places. Nothing but good vibes and awesome memories. I got back Saturday and was able to spend the rest of the three day weekend to unwind, relax, and get situated back home. I will upload a few extra pics or outtakes from my trip that I did not upload onto my Instagram sometime this week.

Also, I am happy to say that I won my second IG contest that I've enter in for the Bellevue Square Mall's Spring IG contest in downtown Bellevue, WA. It's the second contest that I've entered and also my second time winning a prize! With the gift card, I was able to purchase a new duffel bag big and convenient enough to stuff everything I needed for my road trip. A post for that will be up on the blog either towards the end of this week or the beginning of next week. So keep on the look out for that post!

Moving on, I spent the last days of the weekend to visit Seattle since I dearly missed my beloved city and the great Pacific Northwest!

SUNDAY- we went to a new bakery and cafe place called Coyle's Bakeshop. It is fairly new and we decided to go check it out since the pictures on their Facebook page looked so enticing. The place is cozy, spacious, well lit, and adorable. You are able to see the staff baking away when you order. The coffee and baked goods were delicious. We had a mocha with their house made marshmallow, a hazelnut latte, a currant scone, a slice of their decadent chocolate cake, and a "cretzel"- croissant pretzel. {First Photo} They also had a rhubarb tart and an olive oil cake with rhubarb and cardamom that I will be getting the next time I'm in.

Next we explored Capitol Hill and stumbled upon a tucked-away alley filled with new boutiques and restaurants yet to open soon. A new local ice creamery had already opened up along with a small plant and home decor shop next to it called, Niche outside. They had cute convenient home products from Japan, gardening books, plant keeping supplies, and other quaint items. {Second & Third Photo}

MONDAY- was Memorial Day and I spent another day adventuring in Seattle! Later on in the evening, I finished the night by watching the new hit movie, Mad Max. We walked around the Seattle waterfront and went go the Northwest Cultural Folklife Festival they had going on memorial weekend. For brunch {Fourth & Fifth Photo}, I went to Tilikum Place Cafe in Belltown and close to the Seattle Center. The food was delicious and the coffee made well and delicious also. Our waiter was super nice and always made sure we were doing fine. I had a sweet mini dutch baby that came in it's own pan with apples and almond streusel. I ordered a side of two eggs sunnyside up and my boyfriend ordered a crab cake eggs' benedict smothered in hollandaise sauce. Yum, and so much yes. Both orders were delicious and several other options on their menu had intrigued me as well. Gotta go back!

Well, I hope you guys had a wonderful weekend regardless of whether it was long or not, and had gotten to enjoy some sunshine! Relax to the max in your free time!
I will talk to you guys later! Cheers!

Upgrading

I'm upgrading! I changed the appearance of my blog for a more sophisticated feel and look.

To summarize, I now have more time on my hands with a more open schedule. With that being said, starting out, I will post at least once a week to get into a habit of posting more. Eventually the goal will to be more than that, obviously, and maybe into a daily thing.

Life has been throwing a bunch at me, but a little vacay has been helping me relieve stress and has been a good break from..well, life! The vacation also has allowed me to reflect and rethink about the future and future priorities/goals.

SO! Expect a series of photos from my road trip in upcoming future posts. Also in the meantime, I've been working on my photography direction and photo editing skills which I hope will be evident in the photos themselves.

There will be more fashion outfit pictures as well as new posts of exciting events that I will be attending in the future. But don't worry! I'm still going to take tons of my favorite kinds of pictures: food, coffee, & scenic nature photos. Overall, I will be documenting more parts of my adventures to share with you all!

I am truly excited with this new direction now that I've gotten back to my somewhat motivated self! Thanks for being patient with me and I will definitely see you soon. Consider this post as the first step towards my goal and counts as my post for the week. I will post pictures from my vacation after my return next week.

Ttyl!

Coffee and Tea notes of March

The cutest latte art I've seen in person was at Moore Coffee in downtown Seattle. They made a Totoro picture in my mocha, shown in the first picture and the last picture is of my all time favorite tea place to chat and hang out in on late nights. Tea Republik on the ave in the U district has a peaceful warm atmosphere and beautiful flower lanterns. I always like to sit down and catch up with old friends while sipping on hot tea in a more relaxed setting at night.

The next two coffee pictures were taken at Broadcasters Coffee on Capitol Hill with a peppy and patient barista and then in Voxx Coffee in Eastlake, a retro vintage decorated cafe.

I've been to more coffee places recently and will be exploring and trying out even more new coffee places!
Thank goodness Seattle is Central Coffee Capital and has enough coffee places for me to try and sample numerous and various coffees with different cafe atmospheres.

The Cafe Chilling sessions and excursions continue as part of my Tiff-ventures. Also, keep track of and follow along in my Tiff-ventures.

Keep in touch!

3/07/15

Another sunny Saturday with spring and warmer weather around the corner, which called for a weekly Adventure in Seattle day. As usual, I went to brunch at Smith in the creative Capitol Hill. The interior decoration was very fascinating and cool with a bunch of taxidermy head statues mounted on the walls. I hope they were fake, possibly.. But regardless, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was full of comfortable vibes and had a homey, familiar, and lively setting.

I enjoyed their buttermilk waffles with apple slices and cinnamon. It was one of the best home made waffles I've ever tasted without the toppings being too sweet. My friend ordered their blueberry pancakes which was just as fantastic and fresh.

The cherry blossoms had already started blooming, so I had to take a picture of the bundle of beautiful pink petals.
While taking a ferry ride to Bainbridge, other than gazing at it, I just had to snap a picture of the sunset and of Seattle in all it's glowing glory.

I will be uploading more pictures of my adventures and what I have been doing and up to soon. So much has been going and happening all at once and just when I though my schedule would be slowing down, it seems there is always too much fun going around. And that's not a bad thing, right!? It makes my simple mundane life all the more interesting with these little excursions.

On a side note, I decided to just treat my personal blog as an online visual diary and chronicled journal! How more personal and close can it get when my blog's writing style would be exactly how I would talk to you as friend in person let alone if I was texting you about what I had been doing. I personally prefer and enjoy the casualness and informality of communicating or storytelling my adventures as opposed to a very formal formatted style. I don't want it to be cookie cutter or stiff. It's like reading the captions to my Youtube video if this post was made into a video of me ranting about my day. Who knows!? maybe I will start making vlogs instead, just to make things easier.

To continue from my tangent, what you can expect to come is more of the Coffee & Cafe Chilling session posts, as well as more Adventures in Seattle features, and of course the latest and biggest news/event- me going to Lucky 2015! :)

Well, we'll catch up soon folks! Until then, I'll ttyl!

3/08/15

These series of pictures were taken while I was walking around and exploring downtown Seattle last Sunday. I went to brunch as usual and ended up going to the restaurant Local 360 in the Belltown area of downtown. The food was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, while I was eating, I found clumps of hair in my pasta and completely lost my appetite. The restaurant omitted my meal off of the bill and was nice enough to have my friend's meal on the house because of the incident.

Afterwards, I got a lovely lavender mocha from Bedlam Coffee that was silky but not too rich. The lavender flavor itself hit the right notes and wasn't overpowering over the chocolate. The brick wall of Bedlam's had cool artsy graffiti matching the weird spunky interior decor inside.

I was able to walk around Pikes Place and around the Olympic Sculpture Park near the waterfront and watch the sun set beautifully in the distant. Overall, the day was very relaxing and was another wonderful day in Seatown.
