Moorea Seal Anniversary Party with the Seattle Blogger Fam :)

I was recently invited to Moorea Seal's Anniversary party last Wednesday, 5/25. I had an amazing night meeting fellow bloggers in the Seattle blogging community and making new friends! The event was accompanied by awesome swag bags filled with goodies and a table full of complimentary beverages, snacks and drinks. I am so glad I went, and I look forward to all the newest projects and products coming soon from Moorea Seal

I will keep you guys updated on upcoming future events or other happenings going on with me! :) I hope you guys enjoyed your weekend and are excited for this coming month of June. Keep in touch and follow me via my social media channels!

Good Vibes, only, always: veggie sandwich from Meat & Bread, Zico coconut water punch, & Fonte coffee

First off, sorry it's been awhile! I've been busy going to networking events, re-adjusting to figuring certain career changes, and just.. LIFE!? Sorry if that sounds so basic and cliche but, yea, life totally happens and gets in the way!

So anyways, here are the pics from some of the fashion and networking events that I've gone to recently. The first few pics are from the Seattle Fashion Designer Expose night and the pics after the inspirational fashion reads pic are from this past weekend's Stylish in Seattle blogger panel and conference.

In detail, the Seattle Fashion Designer Expose night was to showcase previews of some of the collection pieces that will be shown at Seattle Fashion Week, sort of like a premiere party mixed with a networking night. There were vendor booths throughout the event place and complimentary treats, such as mini bundt cupcakes, Suja bottled juice, coconut water, and more! You could even get your hair blown or curled by one of Seattle's prominent salons at the hair styling booth. If you were hungry, they offered food to be purchased and you could also have your picture taken by one of the many photographers at the event with music bumping in the background! It was a fun night of chatting, socializing, and checking out what's to come in Seattle Fashion Week!

For the Stylish in Seattle blogger conference, I had a blast getting to meet and converse with such inspiring ladies and fellow bloggers. It was great to hear and receive advice from successful and empowering women who have made it to where they are from all their hard work. There was a lot of support and encouragement from the panelist speakers for us, which I think is awesome and what we truly need. The complimentary sandwiches from Meat & Bread, breakfast pastries and coffee from Fonte Coffee Roasters, cupcakes, vegan coconut cocoa balls from Jujubeet, and Zico coconut water were all fantastic. There were swag bags and magazines given out, and also tons of picture taking for the event! I thoroughly enjoyed this event and I hope to go to more events like this in the future!

As I continue to explore, consider, and contemplate blogging and whether or not I would like to invest more time into making it a full time career, I think with anything it also takes time overall for growth and development; even if you decide to put all your time and efforts into it suddenly, and at once. As the year continues to rapidly progress, since I'm balancing and juggling multiple things at once, I will gradually develop and invest more time or idealization efforts into this blog and my blogging brand throughout the next couple of years. I am still consistently posting throughout my social media channels, and I will continue to do so for as long as I have the desire to. But I have a lot to figure out, and for me, I started my blogging brand, my blog, and other social media forums as a way to relieve stress and to share my personal, fun experiences or excursions as an escape from the hardships of life.

I will work and try harder to make something I genuinely enjoy to become my career and to reach other goals and dreams. I know this post might be longer and lengthier than usual, but I really wanted to take the time and convey to you guys, or be honest about my blog and also about where I am currently. I'm gonna take certain jumps and risks, but also I will see where life takes me. But no matter where life does take me, you awesome people and my lovely supporters will be the first to know! I hope you all are enjoying spring so far and also are doing well. Love you guys and I'll keep you guys posted on updates soon! (I'm going to Sakura-con and the Sodo Fashion Show this weekend :D *insert gleeful giggling emoji* !!)

In the meantime, keep in touch! You know where to find me. <3

Falling in love with Fall 20!5 & all that's yet to come

CRUDE VANDALISM

"It's gunna be red. Cruise thru"

"Leaving it empty was more honest"

These are pictures I took from the art show I visited yesterday at the Glass Box Art Gallery in Seattle (also mentioned in an earlier post). Besides the art show, what else have I been doing? Well...

I've been working at my part time contractor position for Microsoft, my start-up internship, shooting pics for a local IG contest, and collaborating on a marketing project campaign using my IG photos. The campaign project has already started and will be finalized soon this October! I will update you guys on the results and when the campaign project has been finalized. I'll write a feature post about that specific project and I'll also post all the pictures used for the campaign upon completion. So stay tuned! ;)

I'm very excited for the campaign project, and I can't wait to see the final results. Most of the final pictures are already on my Instagram and are also submitted as part of the Bellevue Fashion Week Street Style contest. I'm looking forward to Bellevue Fashion Week, as I'm planning on going to the Independent Designer Fashion Show and also to the exclusive Press Media/Blogger conference with Cara from Vogue for media bloggers only. I will keep you guys posted and upload pictures from these upcoming events soon.

I'll also be attending a local fashion show the same weekend as Bellevue Fashion Week at one of Seattle's local community colleges, which will support the overseas study program for international students. I recently had gone to one day of PAX, the gaming convention, that was held at Washington State's Convention Center and had a blast. It was my first time going, and I am happy I got to experience and see everything there. There were people who dressed up as characters from the Mad Max movie, and they even drove Uber cars decorated as the vehicles from the Mad Max movie. But my overall favorite exhibits from the expo hall were the Indie Game booths and Giant Behemoth Games.

This Labor Day weekend, I am really looking forward to going to the Bumbershoot Music Festival at Seattle Center. It will be my first time going, and I can't wait to see many of my favorite artists such as the Weeknd, Chance the Rapper, Flosstradamus, Zedd, Jhene Aiko, Borgore, and more. I will write a post on Bumbershoot and upload pictures from the event next week. But, if you want faster coverage just check on my Instagram!

Lots of exciting things happening, so check back soon and I'll keep you guys posted! Last, but not least, sometime over this weekend I'll have a personal bio post on my blog and the meaning behind the name. I'll talk about why I created this blog and why I decided on this name. In the meantime, have a great Labor Day Weekend! :)

I'm not going to be stuffed in some "glass box"

From the outside looking in (the front of the building)

little comfy chair

Specially made and super soft wool before it turns into yarn, a very long piece

Spinning yarn for Rumpelstilstkin haha jk idk what it's called (ROVE Space reflection)

Awkward candid/selfies, mirror mirror on the floor

Screen on Yarn, a live feed video of a woman dancing around her cocoon

the biffle speculating this interesting scene

Love for Rove

The bestie came back from her almost month-long hiatus to Aussie. I missed her so much, and it was great to finally get to see her and catch up with her right when she got back. (She literally came back the night before we hung out the next day). Talk about true friendship!

To welcome her back to good 'ol Seatown/posh Bellevue, we had sushi in one of our usual spots in downtown Bellevue then went to First Thursday Artwalks in Seattle at a new art space that had just recently opened. We chatted, caught up, and ended the night with a perfect cup (in this case glass, since we got iced tea) of tea at our other usual spot in Seattle. The place tends to be opened later, even on the weekdays, and is a popular spot to sip tea and study for students that go to the university nearby.

The new art venue space is called Glass Box Gallery and it's a neat and cute building that is literally shaped like a box. It's  easy to spot and located next to the Shell gas (petro) station in front of the Uwajimaya grocery market next to Seattle's CenturyLink Field (It is the field where the Seattle Seahawks play American football for the National Football League and where our soccer [futbol] team, the Sounders, play).

I like the white minimal simplicity of the interior. It also has beautiful wood panels for the ceiling with bright lights. The space has the ideal aesthetics and platform for showcasing interactive art installations and larger, commanding pieces. Since it is, its own little center and building with its own parking lot (super convenient, especially in Seattle), it feels more "special" and unique because it isn't a storefront or a space that's being leased out or part of a bigger building. It's secluded but not closed off, and it gives the whole art space an actual "spacious" and roomier feeling. It was more comfortable, less hectic, less crowded, and there was less noise. Maybe it was the timing of when we went, but everything felt more right going and being in an art venue that was farther away from all the busy-ness of the usual art area.

The pics above are ones that I took of the event and the space (there are some pics on here in this series that I posted on here exclusively and they're not on IG! So feel special! ;P). The event was created and is affiliated with lovecitylove. You should check them out because what they stand for, care about, and who they are make them pretty cool and real people. And I believe we are always in need of real people, if you know what I mean.
They opened up their headquarters space again and are starting to hold their weekly social event where you can go to socialize, dance, listen to music, chill, or whatever. It's a great way to bring people from around the city together. I'm actually going to go visit their headquarters this weekend to see what's new along with other activities. As always, I'll keep you guys posted on here but also on my "main domain"- IG. You know where to find me!

Keep in touch and stay tuned for your Adventure Time with Tiff! Or as I like to call it, "Tiff-ventures." (I hashtag it on IG on the pics that I do take from my adventures). I'll talk to you guys later and have an adventurous weekend!

Lately

Long time no see. This summer has been going by way too fast and the time has just been flying like crazy.

So, what have I been up to? The usual, trying to get my stuff together and thinking about my future. Struggling with career moves and trying to get by in the mean time, I'm trying to get back on my feet and stay steady. And just like most people, I've been doing the hardest thing anyone has always considered- whether to chase my dreams or not.
I am doing an internship to gain experience in a specified field I'm passionate about, and I'm taking classes to learn more about design. Besides wanting to adventure everywhere, I'm trying to be more involved in the city and go to different events in the rising, beautiful cities of Bellevue and Seattle.

It's gonna be a pain. But if I really want to do what I'm passionate about I guess I got to struggle in the meantime and in the midst of confusion. We'll see how things go. But even though things have been challenging, I still have hope in chasing down the sun.

On that note, the top picture is the most recent candid/picture of me. I'm going to take a series of more candid pictures soon before the end of September for a local IG contest. It's been awhile since I took outfit pics. I've been wanting to get back into the groove of things, including being able to blog more and take more pictures of my local Tiff-ventures. Which is what the second picture is about!

Well again, follow me on IG to keep in touch! :) My tag is: sonder_wonder. I hope to see you on there! I'll be back here soon.
