First Day of Summer's Photoshoot 6-20-16

These are some pics from a photo shoot I did on the first day of summer or the summer solstice as part of my personal project! As July and my trip draws near, I am very excited and am looking forward to this mini vacation, as well as the rest of the summer. I'll be updating and posting pictures from my vacation and travels through my Facebook page and Instagram, so make sure to follow and keep in touch! I'll see you all a month later with more updates and, of course, a summary post about my trip! :) Have a great Fourth of July and a great July!

I went to Vancouver, BC in Canada for just a day trip and these are some of the pics I took! :) There are also more pictures on my Instagram profile.

I'll update you guys more soon! I'll do a fashion post and briefly mention my blog bio that I have yet to write about. Thank you all for your patience. I'm going to more Seattle startup and social networking events this week, which I definitely will take pics of. Also, we were able to obtain some space in the awesome Galvanize building (from the previous post), for the start up company I'm interning at! We finally get to work side by side each other in a space we can call our own. I'm looking forward to Fall again and the changes just around the corner. In the meantime, stay cool and keep in touch! Ttyl.

I'm not going to be stuffed in some "glass box"

Love for Rove

The bestie came back from her almost month-long hiatus to Aussie. I missed her so much, and it was great to finally get to see her and catch up with her right when she got back. (She literally came back the night before we hung out the next day). Talk about true friendship!

To welcome her back to good 'ol Seatown/posh Bellevue, we had sushi in one of our usual spots in downtown Bellevue then went to First Thursday Artwalks in Seattle at a new art space that had just recently opened. We chatted, caught up, and ended the night with a perfect cup (in this case glass, since we got iced tea) of tea at our other usual spot in Seattle. The place tends to be opened later, even on the weekdays, and is a popular spot to sip tea and study for students that go to the university nearby.

The new art venue space is called Glass Box Gallery and it's a neat and cute building that is literally shaped like a box. It's  easy to spot and located next to the Shell gas (petro) station in front of the Uwajimaya grocery market next to Seattle's CenturyLink Field (It is the field where the Seattle Seahawks play American football for the National Football League and where our soccer [futbol] team, the Sounders, play).

I like the white minimal simplicity of the interior. It also has beautiful wood panels for the ceiling with bright lights. The space has the ideal aesthetics and platform for showcasing interactive art installations and larger, commanding pieces. Since it is, its own little center and building with its own parking lot (super convenient, especially in Seattle), it feels more "special" and unique because it isn't a storefront or a space that's being leased out or part of a bigger building. It's secluded but not closed off, and it gives the whole art space an actual "spacious" and roomier feeling. It was more comfortable, less hectic, less crowded, and there was less noise. Maybe it was the timing of when we went, but everything felt more right going and being in an art venue that was farther away from all the busy-ness of the usual art area.

The pics above are ones that I took of the event and the space (there are some pics on here in this series that I posted on here exclusively and they're not on IG! So feel special! ;P). The event was created and is affiliated with lovecitylove. You should check them out because what they stand for, care about, and who they are make them pretty cool and real people. And I believe we are always in need of real people, if you know what I mean.
They opened up their headquarters space again and are starting to hold their weekly social event where you can go to socialize, dance, listen to music, chill, or whatever. It's a great way to bring people from around the city together. I'm actually going to go visit their headquarters this weekend to see what's new along with other activities. As always, I'll keep you guys posted on here but also on my "main domain"- IG. You know where to find me!

Keep in touch and stay tuned for your Adventure Time with Tiff! Or as I like to call it, "Tiff-ventures." (I hashtag it on IG on the pics that I do take from my adventures). I'll talk to you guys later and have an adventurous weekend!
