Image and Imagination Art Project & the 12th Man Flag Featured

Through a Pair of Binocular Lens

I took this series of photographs for my Image and Imagination course at school. The theme is photographing the "un-photographic," what seems to be missing from the picture or what is never seen/focused on. I chose to to literally capture a different perspective and concentrated view on things and sights I see everyday. Through the lens, I want to capture not only a new sense of  what we are accustomed to seeing as ordinary and mundane, but have the different perspective encompass the same intrigue as viewing a completely different world. Because the lens limits the area to only a certain circular radius, they resemble aerial space photos of planet surfaces which helps entertain the concept of viewing through a different lens/perspective can also provide one with the feeling of "a whole new world." That same feeling of culture shock..
