#MyCollectionStory and the Beginning of November

I posted this picture to announce that you will be able to see some of my Instagram outfit pictures at The Bellevue Square Mall as part of the #MyCollectionStory campaign to welcome  the new stores and expansion of the mall. My pictures and pictures from other fellow bloggers are being showcased in a slideshow on a TV screen in the social spot of the mall, where the entrance to Uniqlo will be on Level 1.

Uniqlo finally opens next week, and I am excited to go the pre-opening party before the actual grand opening day. Apparently, Macklemore and the mayor will be there on the grand opening day, so I'm very excited and am looking forward to attending the party and the grand opening day!

On other new developments, I have started my Visual Design class. I am very happy that I am taking this class at General Assembly, a community based school who really cares about their students' learning and how much you are getting from the class. They have several branches across the world in many international metro cities, such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and more. I can't wait to start building my personal portfolio!

For this Halloween weekend, I am going to a Halloween party in my design school's building and also a Dia de Los Muertos celebration at the art museum. On Halloween day, I will be going to Freaknight 2015.
In addition, I will be attending an exclusive press preview for a new exhibit, Paradox of Place, at the Seattle Asian Art Museum today. I will have a post with more detailed information of the event and pictures from today up next week. I will also have a post on my Halloween weekend up sometime towards the end of next week!

This November is packed with many exciting events and activities leading up to Black Friday and Thanksgiving week. Stay tuned to see what I will be up to or what event I will be going to next! :) I hope you are all doing well and have a Spook-tacular Halloween weekend! Keep on adventuring!

Seattle Sunday Adventure (10/18/15) - SAM Intimate Impressions Exhibit

The Crumpet Shop

Chalkboard hippie van in Fremont

These were some of the pictures taken at the Seattle Art Museum and downtown at Pikes Place. I had crumpets at The Crumpet Shop for the first time and saw the Intimate Impressions exhibit. It was a very good Sunday spent in Seattle and another fun-filled adventure!

On another note, Zara and Uniqlo will be opening soon at Bellevue Square Mall on November 6th! I'm excited for the opening of the two stores and also to be able to release information to you all on an upcoming project of mine debuting around the same time. My design class starts next week and work should be picking up with more projects piling up one after the other, so I guess this week will be my last free and relaxing week for awhile before all the hectic chaos hits haha.

Anyways, stay tuned for exciting updates and events happening on Halloween and around the beginning of November. I hope you all are doing well and enjoying yourselves :).

Keep in touch!

These are all pictures from the several events that I have attended recently, from the new art exhibit being shown at the Frye Art Museum called 21st Century Genius, to a student organized Japanese fashion show at Seattle Central, the exclusive Fall 2015 Fashion Trends Media Blogger Conference with Cara Crowley from Vogue in Bellevue, and other local fashion shows and events. I had a great time and experience at all the events, and I am very honored and grateful that I was able to attend all of them.

The pictures above are captioned and labeled accordingly. With Fall already beginning and Winter around the corner, the season of holiday shopping kicks off with a bunch of new internationally famous retail stores opening within the Seattle area. I have recently visited the new storefronts of Aesop and Warby Parker in Fremont Seattle and more retail brands will open up in the nearby Bellevue Square mall, including Zara and Uniqlo. The two stores are said to open around the beginning of November. I'm truly excited and I will definitely be shopping there often!

In the meantime, I'll be taking classes again to try and work towards my overall future goal and dream. I'm excited to be in school again and to learn new things in the fields I'm passionate about. I will continue to do my best and work harder to chase my dreams.

I hope you guys had a great weekend and that you'll have a great week this week! Keep in touch and I'll talk to you guys soon.

Cheers,

~Tiff

Bumbershoot 2015

These pictures are post-Labor Day weekend at Bumbershoot 2015 at Seattle Center. I had a blast and was so happy I got to see everyone I wanted and had planned to see!

Next week is Bellevue Fashion Week, and I will be attending a Media Blogger conference for that week. I will also be attending local fashion events, including one this weekend. I'll upload pictures and have a post on these events soon, and I will also update you on new developments with personal projects and collaborations once everything is finalized! I'm still planning to enter in a few IG contests and I'll let you guys know how that goes as well! My friend just turned 21 today so I'm excited to celebrate her big bday with her soon and hopefully I'll be able to go on a little mini road trip adventure locally this weekend. Lots to look forward to and be excited for!

Thank you guys for your patience, and stay tuned for more to come! Have a great weekend :)

My Blog

I'm not sure who this picture belongs to, but I found it from tumblr

I first discovered this word and its meaning years ago around the time I first created a Tumblr profile for personal use. It held so much meaning for me and it has stuck with me ever since I came across it. I had always had this feeling without knowing how to explain it, let alone there would be a term or word for the feeling. The word "sonder" was accurate in describing my curiosity of feeling connected with everyone else and the wonderment of just being a part of something bigger and having my life some how be intertwined with others. Because the word resonated so well with my core being and outlook on life, I wanted to use and incorporate it as my alias for my blog, Instagram, and other social media handles as my second identity. I decided to add the word "wonder" as part of the name because it rhymed with "sonder" and gave a nice ring to the name as a whole. Besides the rhyming aspect, part of the feeling and meaning of "sonder" includes the factor of wonder- and wondering and pondering with this feeling of "sonder." And that's how this blog was born.

I decided to create a blog where I can share my own life, my story, my adventures, and my experiences with others in the world so, in a way, others can feel or see how our lives are intertwined, even if it is someone who just stumbled upon my blog and glanced over it. For those who stare out their windows at the moon every night and think about what it'd be like to live halfway across the world or be in someone else's shoes, for those who wonder about that feeling of "sonder" all the time, hopefully this blog fully lives up to the meaning and name.

Stay tuned for recent updates of what's been happening with me and for a recap post on Bumbershoot this week. Next week, look for a special post on my most recent collaboration project using my Instagram photos. I will be going to several fashion events this month and will have blog posts on those events as well. On another note, I just dyed my hair and managed to fix it after a hair fiasco with the salon. I'm happy with how it turned out and am glad that I was able to salvage it. I'll have an updated picture soon, once I decide to take a selfie but I'm too lazy and I don't like taking pictures of my face. Anyways, have a great rest of your week and I'll talk to you guys again soon!

Falling in love with Fall 20!5 & all that's yet to come

CRUDE VANDALISM

"It's gunna be red. Cruise thru"

"Leaving it empty was more honest"

These are pictures I took from the art show I visited yesterday at the Glass Box Art Gallery in Seattle (also mentioned in an earlier post). Besides the art show, what else have I been doing? Well...

I've been working at my part time contractor position for Microsoft, my start-up internship, shooting pics for a local IG contest, and collaborating on a marketing project campaign using my IG photos. The campaign project has already started and will be finalized soon this October! I will update you guys on the results and when the campaign project has been finalized. I'll write a feature post about that specific project and I'll also post all the pictures used for the campaign upon completion. So stay tuned! ;)

I'm very excited for the campaign project, and I can't wait to see the final results. Most of the final pictures are already on my Instagram and are also submitted as part of the Bellevue Fashion Week Street Style contest. I'm looking forward to Bellevue Fashion Week, as I'm planning on going to the Independent Designer Fashion Show and also to the exclusive Press Media/Blogger conference with Cara from Vogue for media bloggers only. I will keep you guys posted and upload pictures from these upcoming events soon.

I'll also be attending a local fashion show the same weekend as Bellevue Fashion Week at one of Seattle's local community colleges, which will support the overseas study program for international students. I recently had gone to one day of PAX, the gaming convention, that was held at Washington State's Convention Center and had a blast. It was my first time going, and I am happy I got to experience and see everything there. There were people who dressed up as characters from the Mad Max movie, and they even drove Uber cars decorated as the vehicles from the Mad Max movie. But my overall favorite exhibits from the expo hall were the Indie Game booths and Giant Behemoth Games.

This Labor Day weekend, I am really looking forward to going to the Bumbershoot Music Festival at Seattle Center. It will be my first time going, and I can't wait to see many of my favorite artists such as the Weeknd, Chance the Rapper, Flosstradamus, Zedd, Jhene Aiko, Borgore, and more. I will write a post on Bumbershoot and upload pictures from the event next week. But, if you want faster coverage just check on my Instagram!

Lots of exciting things happening, so check back soon and I'll keep you guys posted! Last, but not least, sometime over this weekend I'll have a personal bio post on my blog and the meaning behind the name. I'll talk about why I created this blog and why I decided on this name. In the meantime, have a great Labor Day Weekend! :)
